Some of nature’s most treasured botanicals have been grown in gardens and used in traditional herbal preparations for generations. Our handcrafted Lavender, Yarrow & Comfrey Herbal Salve brings together three remarkable plants, each with its own rich history in botanical skincare, to create a nourishing blend inspired by the simplicity and wisdom of traditional homestead living.

Lavender is cherished for its gentle floral aroma and naturally occurring botanical compounds, making it a favorite in traditional skincare. Yarrow has a long history of use in herbal preparations and is appreciated for its skin-conditioning qualities. Comfrey, sometimes called knitbone in traditional herbal folklore, has been valued for generations in external herbal preparations. Together, these three garden herbs create a distinctive botanical blend with a rich heritage.

We carefully grow and harvest lavender, yarrow, and comfrey from the garden beds of our Nebraska homestead. The harvested herbs are slowly steeped in olive oil, allowing their botanical compounds to infuse into the oil. We then blend this herbal infusion with beeswax to create a rich, protective salve.

Unlike lightweight lotions or creams, our herbal salve has a thicker, more substantial consistency. It goes on rich, softening and conditioning dry, rough skin while leaving behind a lasting protective barrier that helps seal in moisture. A little goes a long way, making it especially well suited for hardworking hands, dry elbows, heels, and other areas needing extra attention.

Made with just five simple ingredients — homestead-grown lavender, yarrow, and comfrey, olive oil, and beeswax — our salve contains no added fragrances, artificial colors, or preservatives. Any subtle herbal aroma comes naturally from the botanicals themselves.
